Artist Quote: “Legend” is a celebration of the life of Jared Pelletier, my childhood best friend who tragically died of cancer at 29 years old. This song is written as a future message to his 2 year old daughter highlighting her father’s greatness and how she can remain connected to his spirit as she gets older. What started as songwriting to cope with my grief turned into the creation of the Jared Pelletier Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization aimed to uplift Maine’s athletic youth. Jared, a life-long athlete, was incredibly passionate about ice hockey which is a major theme in this song and music video. The music video highlights some notable moments from JP Memorial Foundation’s 1st Annual Hockey & Free Skate Event, along with a collection of home movies of Jared’s most cherished childhood memories. The foundation has received over $14K USD in donations in just 6 months of its formation.

Help fundraise for Maine’s athletic youth in Jared’s memory

All proceeds from t-shirt sales will be donated to the Jared Pelletier Memorial Foundation

Hailing from Southern Maine, Nate Winter is an emerging singer-songwriter who has hit the ground running since bursting onto the music scene in the Fall of 2021. Nate’s music style reflects an eclectic blend of feel-good Reggae Rock with heartfelt Americana storytelling.

Nate’s debut EP “Missing Piece’’ hit the airwaves in February, 2023. Recorded at the world famous studio Circle House, AKA the mecca of Miami, Nate was blessed with the opportunity to work with the likes of; ”Native” Wayne Jobson (Maroon 5, Jason Mraz), Brian Jobson (No Doubt, Michael Bolton), Paul Fakhourie (Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley), Bernard “Touter” Harvey (Inner Circle, The Rolling Stones), Dave Simmons (KC and the Sunshine Band), and Stephen “Cat” Coore (Third World).

To kick off 2024 in epic fashion, Nate and Ce’Cile premiered their new song “Happy Cup (feat. Ce’Cile)” in a “captivating performance” according to SLEEK Jamaica Media at the legendary Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston, JA for Bob Marley’s One Love 79 birthday celebration. Broadcasted live on SiriusXM, this event hosted performances from Jamaica’s biggest stars including Chris Martin, Jesse Royal, Lutan Fyah, Pam Hall, Dyani, and Yeza. To top things off, Nate had an impromptu exclusive jam session behind Tuff Gong with global superstar Popcaan and Grammy nominated Jesse Royal after his performance. Though the event included a star-studded cast, Nate’s “hit song” stole the show according to Jamaica’s #1 daily newspaper Jamaica Observer making front page headlines reading “Happy Cup for Bob’s Birthday”.

Nate has since released “Letting Go” with Grammy nominated production duo HEDDROKK, consisting of Stephen Lashley and Dave Simmons of KC and the Sunshine Band. This Lovers Rock Reggae single was considered for the 2025 Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Performance. To follow this momentum, Nate featured on two records with D-Achee titled “We Live As One” and “Horn For Them” with music videos for each track premiering on Reggaeville.

Whether it’s intimate acoustic sets or vibing with a full band, Nate Winter’s live experience is destined to fill everyone’s Happy Cup. Averaging at least 50 shows per year, Nate is currently touring across the U.S. and Jamaica hitting major cities like Kingston, Ocho Rios, LA, NYC, Boston, Austin, New Orleans, and more. Some notable highlights include his “Missing Piece” release party at the iconic Lewiston Colisee Arena and opening for Dead Prez at The Far Out Lounge while on tour in Austin, TX for SXSW Festival.

If he’s not on stage, he’s likely in the studio writing or producing. In addition to the heavy hitters featuring on “Missing Piece”, Nate has since collaborated with an impressive cast of characters including 2023 Grammy winner Dave Gutter, Ce’Cile, D’Yani, Naomi Cowan, Zia Benjamin, HEDDROKK, and Soun Bwoii to name a few.
